There’s something extra special about fall in Breckenridge. The aspens are turning gold, the air is crisp, Main Street is buzzing, and then Oktoberfest arrives.

Breckenridge Oktoberfest returns September 25–27, 2026, bringing a weekend of Bavarian-inspired festivities to the heart of downtown Breckenridge. If you’re planning a fall mountain getaway, this is a pretty great weekend to do it.

What to Expect at Breckenridge Oktoberfest

For one weekend, historic Main Street takes on an Oktoberfest feel with live music, food, drinks and plenty of festive energy.

Expect a lively downtown atmosphere with traditional Oktoberfest favorites, steins in hand and lots of people enjoying one of the most beautiful times of year in the Colorado mountains.

Whether you’re coming up from Denver for the day or making an entire weekend of it, plan on spending plenty of time exploring Main Street.

Oktoberfest may be the reason you come to town, but fall in Breckenridge is worth sticking around for.

Take a walk around downtown, enjoy the changing aspens, grab lunch or dinner at one of the local restaurants and leave a little time to wander through the shops along Main Street.

September weather in the mountains can also change quickly. A sunny afternoon can turn into a chilly evening before you know it, so layers are always a good idea.
