About our chosen organization:

Since 1985, Genesis Women's Shelter has devoted itself to providing quality safety and shelter to battered women and their children through crisis intervention and short term crisis therapeutics and to reduce the occurrence of violence against women and children in the greater Dallas area.  They are also committed to raising the level of community awareness regarding the pervasiveness and effects of domestic violence.
Calling all quilters, sewers and crafters! American Patchwork & Quilting is challenging you to join the efforts of quilters around the country to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference. Every pillowcase can make a difference in your community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident.
